From the scientific front this week comes news that researchers have concluded that the primary means of transmission for chronic wasting disease is swapping spit (yes, literally). This is yet more evidence suggesting that wolves may help to reduce the prevalence of the disease by keeping elk and deer on-the-move and more sparesely distributed accross the landscape.
